My interest in audio and electronics began at the age of 10 when I became interested in short
wave radio and began building kits from Allied Radio. I designed my first real set of speakers in
college and have been active in speaker design ever since. My first significant effort towards a
transient perfect design dates to 1977. The system was a 4-way system using a unique series
crossover. The driver complement included a Becker 10" woofer, an Audax HD13B25 Bexterne
5 1/4" lower midrange, Audax HD 13D37 dome upper midrange and an Audax HD100D25
dome tweeter. It was a moderate success. In 1980 I hooked up with a small local speaker
building company and began applying simulation to crossover development. Unfortunately the
relationship did not last, nor did the speaker company.
