No excuses are made for the excess radiation beyond 45 degrees between 2k and 8k Hz. It would be more
desirable that it not be present.  However, as shown in the figure below, the in room response of the NaO II,
measured with pink noise, is very smooth. This is a combination of the direct and reverberant sound. The figure
below the orange trace is raw response for a single sample and the red trace represents the 1/3 octave response
to pink noise. The data shows that the reverberant field is very uniform. The room acoustical parameters are
shown below this figure. Note that this is an ordinary room, with carpeted floors and typical furnishings. The over all
sound in such a room is very natural and spacious.
