Music and Design is pleased to offer its NaO loudspeakers with
digital crossovers. The NaO II D is identical to the top of the line
NaO II with the exception that the analog active crossover is
replaced by a preprogrammed digital crossover from miniDSP.
This digital version of the NaO II is currently available for the
bi-amplified NaO II hybrid where a passive crossover is used
between the midrange and tweeter and the NaO analog active
woofer/panel crossover equalization unit (ACEU) is replaced with
the widely acclaimed miniDSP in a Box from with 24bit/48k digital
audio. Both the hybrid, bi-amplified and fully active, tri-amplified
versions of the NaO II D will be available in the near future with
the miniDSP 2x8 platform offering full 24bit/96k digital audio. The
NaO Note is also available in digital format.
The NaO II D with miniDSP comes completely programmed and
ready to use for either U-frame or sealed box woofer format. The
NaO Note D with miniDSP also comes programmed and ready to
use. Your purchase includes the miniDSP configuration files.
This provides you with the ability to refresh the crossover to the
original settings should you choose to experiment with your own
settings. The configuration files for the NaO II D also allow for
changing woofer format.
Your purchase also includes access to the PC plug-in required to
load the configuration from you PC. This plug-in can also be
used to adjust the high and low frequency balance of your
system, in real time, to suite you taste and or room. The plug-in
is obtained directly from miniDSP by setting up an account at
miniDSP and then e-mailing them requesting activation to
down-load the plug-in. Details are included with purchase.
Should you choose to build the NaO II D or NaO Note D with
digital crossover you will receive the complete plan set for the
specified speaker, the preprogrammed digital crossover option of
your choice, the crossover configuration files, and access to the
required PC plug-in. When ordering the NaO II D with miniDSP in
a Box please specify miniDSP Revision A or B.
